Students involved in the 2009 Solar Car Challenge were treated to an inspection of the production facilities of Shorko (Aust) this week in order to become more acquainted with the company’s products and core business activities. In a flying visit, students were introduced to the processes involved in the production of polymer films and innovative snack and food packaging solutions. All involved were very impressed with the company’s commitment to quality product development and worker safety procedures. Many thanks to this year’s industry mentor Mr Bob Johnstone for his careful planning and organisation skills. All looks set for a competitive and rewarding race season for 2009.
